Q: Why did you join the HeartMastery Heart Empowerment Program?
A: Betsy: Even though I thought of myself as a loving person, and knew I was seen as a loving person by others, HeartMastery woke me up to the fact that I “thought” love instead of fully engaging with my heart. I saw I wasn’t in full integrity because I loved cerebrally instead of in partnership with my head and heart. I am so good at doing things conceptually, but I discovered through a series of health problems with my physical heart that love is something you do and feel and not something you think from your head. I didn’t know how to get to the heart of love from the thought of love, and HeartMastery invited me to learn and gave me the map to follow.
Sandy: I saw what Betsy was doing after a year, and said to the cosmic waiter (and HeartMastery , “I want what she’s having!” I was so captivated by listening to the first session- I just knew that I wanted to live my life from that place- from the heart. I realized that the work I have to do now in the world required me to be more a human being than a human doing. My encounter with HeartMastery showed me that learning HeartMath was the map I needed to help that process. As the world is changing, my approach to my work has had to change. And my relationship to myself and life and everyone else has had to change as well. The heart has been the key to making that change, and HeartMastery handed me the key.
Q: What did you hope to get out of the year long Heart Empowerment Program?
A: Betsy: What I hoped to get out of it was a way, a process, a program, that would take my conceptual wisdom and turn it into actualized realization, a practical way to always coming from the heart.
Sandy: I wanted a practice that allowed me to live from my heart, not just learn about it. Specifically I wanted a practice that would reliably make me less reactive and more empowered in my responses to the day to day challenges of being a business owner, father, husband, human being.
Q: What is the most valuable thing you have received from HeartMastery?
A: Betsy: I fell in love with myself! My real self!
Sandy: Knowing how to give myself permission to be fully male and powerful but also come from a core of love. Finding a way to accomplish what I want to accomplish without having to posture macho.
